Wireless Broadband Internet Experience in Bohol
The wireless broadband internet of all the available Internet Providers in the Philippines is definitely not covering the entire island of Bohol.
In Tagbilaran city, the capital city of Bohol, the available wireless internet connection using 3G/HSDPA signal frequency are Globe, Smart and Sun but sometimes there are intermittent connection. Globe is stable to 300-400 kbps both in download and upload speed. Smart is better than Globe and Sun. Wi-tribe Philippines is not yet available in Bohol.
In Carmen, Bohol where the famous Chocolate Hills can be found, Smart and Globe networks are available. They have good internet service there.
In Loboc, Bohol where you can have a River Cruise experince, Smart is giving a free wireless internet service in the center hall (waiting area) near the entrance port. Internet speed is good.
In Valencia, Bohol where you can find the beautiful Badjang Spring, all the networks of Smart Communications, Globe Telecom and Sun cellular are providing GPRS signal frequency only. And worse is Sun Cellular GPRS signal cannot provide you any data when you browse the internet even you're connected to it 100%. For Globe the download speed vary from 10-60 kbps for download and 5-60 kbps for upload for a 100 percent signal. Smart bro USB internet is the best here even if it's only in GPRS. The download speed is from to 30-60 kbps and the upload speed is 20-60 kbps for a 100% signal.
Sun Cellular is just planning to make 3G cellsite in Valencia as said by their tech support.
To finalize, the most stable and fast Wireless Internet in Bohol is Smart bro, the second one is the Globe Tattoo and the third is Sun Wireless Broadband.
